Come to Know the Majesty That is the Scottish Highlands
For over 75 years, Scotland again comes to the Pacific Northwest the weekend of July 21, 22 and 23, 2023! The 6th oldest Scottish festival in the US featuring the North American Scottish Athletics Championship, US West Coast Drum Corps Championship, NW Regional Harp Finals, colorful pipe bands, and Highland dancers competing before judges of worldwide renown. Scottish foods and drink, Scottish breed animals, clan tents and vendors selling lovely goods imported from the British Isles, and Celtic performers are also a part of this traditional gathering. Join us for a fun and educational weekend trip to the Highlands!
North American Scottish Athletics Championship, US West Coast Drum Corps Championship, individual Piping and Drumming, Pipe Bands, Highland, and National Dancing – you will see and experience it all, plus much, much more at the Enumclaw Expo Center on July 22 and 23. Will you join us for a few hours or the entire weekend? Are you a veteran or a novice? No matter, you will find yourself experiencing a wee bit of Scotland right here in the Pacific Northwest!
Be amazed by the titans who deftly toss the caber and put the stone, matching skill and strength against the odds on the athletic field of battle. Delight in the soothing sound of the Celtic harpists as they join together for a Harpers’ Circle jam session. Thrill to the bourdon of the bagpipes and the cadence of the drums as you witness, first hand, the fine array of talented pipers and drummers competing before judges of worldwide renown. Behold the grace and elegance of the Scottish dancers as they regale you with the Highland and National dances of Scotland.
During your visit, you’ll be able to sample a wide variety of delicious and traditional Scottish foods. Don’t miss the chance to take a break and head over to the Rampant Lion Pub or the Tilted Kilt Pub to raise a glass of fine Scottish style ales and quench your thirst. Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Celtic Arts Showcases as various local English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh dancers, musicians, and singers perform. Our 2023 Featured Performers will be announced 1st quarter 2023. We invite you to visit the encampment of the Northwest’s premier combat troupe, the Seattle Knights. Their performances include high-energy acting and choreographed stage combat using real steel weapons including broadswords, axes, and staves.
Take a stroll through the Avenue of the Clans, the Glen of the Clans, and our Walk Through Time and delve into your Scottish ancestry and heritage. Observe the fine workmanship of Scottish artisans and spend your hard-earned tuppence on lovely imported goods from the British Isles as you wend your way through the Hall of the Vendors and the Celtic Marketplace.
Plan to attend the Ceilidh (Kay-lee) Saturday evening — a traditional Scottish party with music, sing-along, and Scottish country dancing.
It is a weekend not to be missed — full of fun, education, and traditional Scottish activities, so please join us and enjoy a wee bit of Scotland right here in the Pacific Northwest!
