Don't Miss Our Friday Evening Kick-Off Events

FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Don your tartan and join with us as we Kick Off our Fabulous Highland Weekend. Thrill to the sounds of Cascadia Pipe Band, NW Junior Pipe Band and Keith Highlanders Pipe Band as they perform first as individual units and then join together. A Scottish sing-along with our Colin Grant-Adams, and the Rising of the Clans & Flaming Saltire will follow their performances. The evening is capped off with our Friday evening Ceilidh a traditional Scottish party with music, sing-alongs, stories and Scottish country dancing at the indoor Celtic Arts Showcase and Tilted Kilt Pub.

Meanwhile, in the outdoor Rampant Lion Pub, the weekend piping competition begins with the special event, Donald MacRae Pub Piping Competition. Your toes will be tapping as the sound of hornpipes and jigs fill the air. The party continues in the Rampant Lion Pub to round out the evening.

Don’t miss this free, and open to the public kick off event for the 75th Annual Pacific Northwest Scottish Highland Games and Clan Gathering at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

And be sure and return for more fun and excitement on Saturday and Sunday!

Thrill to the sounds of Cascadia Pipe Band, NW Junior Pipe Band and Keith Highladers Pipe Band as they perform first as individual units, then together. Raise your voices in a Scottish sing-along with Colin Grant-Adams.
One of the most emotionally compelling and magical moments of the weekend, the Rising of the Clans and the Flaming Saltire is set in motion by the Chieftain of the Games. The Chieftain ignites the flame that is then passed to each clan, one by one, filling the glen with beacons of light. Help us send out the signal fires to mark the start of the 76th Annual Pacific Northwest Highland Games and Clan Gathering.

What a treat!
Our Featured Performer Elias Alexander will be in the house with his RAMBLXR Show!
This will be epic!

Live Looping • Fresh Beats • Old Tunes

Ramblxr (pronounced “rambler”) is the solo project of Elias Alexander. Weaving together fiery instrumental melodies from the Scottish and Irish traditions, original songs, and tasty beats influenced by disco, house, and lofi hip-hop, Ramblxr speaks to themes of belonging, connectedness, and liberation.

The Ramblxr live show finds Elias alternating between bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, whistle, and keyboards, while using Ableton Live and a variety of foot and hand controllers to effortlessly lay down loops, mix in samples, and build energy.

His performances are reminiscent of artists like FKJ or Elise Trouw, but with a sonic pallet rooted in celtic, folk, and electronica.

In the years preceding the pandemic Elias made a name for himself as one of America’s finest exponents of traditional Scottish music, touring the US, Canada, and Europe, and appearing at many of the top folk festivals. When the first lockdowns hit, he turned his attention towards electronic music production. The result is Ramblxr.

Sampling the voices of elders and poets, Ramblxr draws on deep roots to paint a story about the vital search for belonging, connection, and healing through music.

RAMBLXR Live

Be sure and catch Elias Alexander & Trad Band on Saturday and Sunday on the Center Featured Performer Stage.
